Gunjan Sinha talks about getting trolled for winning the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10’
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 concluded with a young dancer from Assam, Gunjan Sinha and her dance partner Tejas Verma emerging as the winners of the popular dance reality show. Despite being the youngest celebrity contestant, Gunjan along with Tejas gave a tough fight to the rest of the competitors and took home the coveted trophy. However, a certain section of people is not happy with their win and called the makers biased. Now, in a recent interview, Gunjan has reacted to criticism surrounding her big win and said they deserved to win the show.
Speaking with Bollywoodlife, Gunjan said, “We are happy that our hard work paid off. Hum log deserving hain (We are deserving).” Soon after she was announced as the winner, several netizens started trolling her, pointing out that the show was about the journey of a non-dancer and thus Gunjan’s victory makes no sense. Besides the dazzling trophy, Gunjan and Tejas also received a whopping Rs. 20 lakhs as the prize.
Talking about her journey on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, Gunjan Sinha shared in the statement, “What an exhilarating journey Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 has been! I am taking back a box filled with beautiful memories. I thank my partner Tejas Verma and choreographer Sagar Bora, who has been the source of inspiration and strength while I danced my heart out. Internet sensation Faisal Shaikh and TV actress Rubina Dilaik were the first and second runners-up of the season.
