The couple was later sent to judicial custody till December 4, reacting to this senior comedian and actor Johnny Lever has spoken about the rise in consumption of drugs being a trend in the industry just like alcohol was during his early days in conversation with Times of India. He also had advice for this TV couple.

Recalling his old days, he too confessed of drinking alcohol, but ultimately quitting it as he realized it hampered his talent and creativity. He said, "Drugs is becoming a trend like alcohol used to be back in days. Alcohol used to be easily available and a lot of parties used to happen and even I have made the mistake of drinking but then when I realised alcohol is not good as it is affecting my talent and creativity and I quit."

Advising Bharti and Haarsh he speaks about Sanjay Dutt who too confessed of being a drug addict, followed by quitting it. "I would like to say one thing to both Bharti and Harsh. Once you guys come out, speak to your colleagues both young and old not to indulge in drugs. Look at Sanjay Dutt, he confessed to the world. What bigger example do you want? Accept your mistake and pledge to quit drugs. Nobody is going to come to give you a bouquet of flowers for this case," added Johnny Lever.

Also speaking about ill effects of one consuming drug doesn’t remain limited to the person, but also affects his/her family, as they watch these stories being run on news channels. He said, "But consumption of drugs by this generation of creative people is crossing limits. And if you get caught indulging in it imagine what will your family go through and those who are watching your story on news channels and are consuming even lethal drugs must be going through....and if this trend of drug indulgence continues... hamari industry kharab ho jaayegi." Speaking of drugs being a weakness he mentioned jail is not a place for creative minds, hence one should not indulge in it, he rather feels seniors from the industry should counsel the junior. He said, "I tell students not to indulge in drugs. Kyonki jail jaoge and jail is not a place for creative people like us. Taking drugs is a sign of weakness and it only spoils your health and your name. It affects your career also. We seniors and those who have confessed, need to counsel our juniors or else our industry will be doomed."

Sharing an old incident he shared that when famous composer Kalyanji Anandji got to know of Johnny Lever drinking alcohol, they had told him something which is worth remembering. Johnny Lever said,  "I remember Kalyanji or Kalyanji Anandji fame found out that I drink. He told me, 'Johnny bhai sharab mat piyo...talent mein itna. nasha hai usse piyo'.
