Alarm bells are ringing for Juhi Parmar and Manish Goel-starrer Tantra (Colors). The supernatural show, which went on air on December 3, might go off-air soon. Yes, you read that right! A month into its screen time and the makers are already contemplating pulling the plug.

Buzz is, Tantra’s slot has now been changed from 11 pm to 9.30 pm, which is prime time and evidently, makers’ effort to boost its stay on Indian television. Says a source, “The show has failed to live up to expectations and the consistently low ratings are a cause of worry. Thus, as things stand today, the makers have decided to monitor its performance for a couple of months before taking a final call.”

We also hear that one of the reasons of Tantra’s below par performance could be Star Plus’ Nazar which is a supernatural series as well. And, the Mona Lisa starrer has been performing well in terms of numbers. Take a look at the two shows’ impressions over a few weeks.

Tantra, by Swastik Productions, is the story of Khanna family who move into their dream home but little do they know what lies in store. Their life is normal to begin with but with time, they are faced with eerie happenings. What they don’t know is the fact that their house itself is a manifestation of evil and they are under the effects of black magic. The show explores the concepts of black magic, incantation, mysticism, and supernatural elements in an intriguing way. Let’ wait and see if this last-ditch efforts pays dividends or not.
