Actress Juhi Parmar has made a name for herself in the Hindi television industry with her versatile performances and charming personality. Having made a name for herself by starring in the show  Kumkum: Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, which aired from 2002 to 2009, she became one of the most sought-after actresses in the 2000s. The actress had been flawlessly balancing her professional life and singlehandedly raising her and her ex-husband Sachin Shroff’s daughter Samaira. In a recent interview, she opened up about one of the most traumatic, casting couch, experiences of her life.

During a conversation with Hauterrfly, she reminisced about the time when she was a 17-year-old kid, who had entered the entertainment industry. Parmar was approached for a shoot of a music video, where she was told to wear a two-piece bikini. The producers went on to brutally question her after she refused the offer. They questioned her work ethic and asked her if she could survive in the industry without compromising. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, she added, “There is this word called compromise. The 43-year-old actress revealed, how after gaining much success as an actress, she crossed paths with the same producer. During that meet, she confidently told him, that not only did she manage to survive in the entertainment industry without having to compromise, but she also bought a car with the same money. Juhi said, “Sir maine compromise bhi nahi kia aur bohot acche se survive bhi kar rahi hoon. Aur yeh gadi apne paise ki hai.”

On her personal front, Juhi Parmar tied the knot with Sindhi businessman, actor Sachin Shroff in 2009 at a palace in Jaipur. After welcoming their daughter Samaira Shroff in 2013, they filed for a divorce in 2018. Months after arguing, they were granted a divorce and she received the custody of their daughter.
