Kapil Sharma-Sumona Chakravarti Not In Good Terms With Each Other? Actress BREAKS Silence On Their Rift Rumours
Sumona Chakravarti, known for her work with Kapil Sharma on "Comedy Nights With Kapil" and "The Kapil Sharma Show" (Seasons 1 and 2), often played his wife in the show's skits. Their on-screen chemistry was marked by friendly jabs, making their interactions memorable for the audience. However, Sumona was noticeably absent from Netflix's "The Great Indian Kapil Show," sparking rumours that she did not leave "The Kapil Sharma Show" (TKSS) voluntarily, leading to speculation that she might have been fired. After months of speculation, Sumona Chakravarti addressed these rumours. While filming "Khatron Ke Khiladi 14" in Romania, she clarified the situation in an interview with News18. The "Barfi" actress found the reports odd, especially since she encountered conflicting articles. A journalist assured her the rumours were false, yet another publication contradicted this. Sumona chose to remain silent during her time in Romania. Regarding the 'getting fired' rumours, Sumona explained that "The Kapil Sharma Show" ended in July last year. Therefore, she neither resigned nor was fired. After the show's conclusion, the cast members pursued individual projects. Sumona took part in "Khatron Ke Khiladi," while Kapil Sharma moved on to another show. She emphasized that there is no animosity between her and Kapil. "Why would I be upset with Kapil?" she said. "He and I worked together before, and I went to Romania."

When asked if negative reports affect her, Sumona revealed that such things no longer bother her. Early in her career, about 20 years ago, such situations might have impacted her. Now, she follows the mantra: "Your opinion of me is not my responsibility." Meanwhile, "The Great Indian Kapil Show" on Netflix featured Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Mathur. Kapil and Sunil reunited on screen after 6-7 years of their fallout, and the show's first season received a mixed response.

Sumona's clarification puts to rest the rumours surrounding her departure from TKSS. Her professional journey continues with new projects, and she maintains a positive outlook on her relationship with Kapil and the show.
