Karan Oberoi To Spend 14 Nights More In Jail; Actor Suffers Panic Attack

There seems to be no respite for Karan Oberoi. The actor has been sent back to judicial custody for 14 days more. Just for your information, his bail plea was rejected on May 17 and today, he was produced in Andheri court wherein the judge announced that his custody has been extended by 14 days.
A dejected and disappointed Karan, while heading back to the jail, got a panic attack and even broke into a sweat. An eyewitness present there told SpotboyE.com. In his last hearing on May 17, the actor was refused bail in connection to the rape accusations against him by an astrologer. His lawyer Dinesh Tiwari had stated that they are not happy with the court’s order and will take it up in the High Court.

Meanwhile, a quick recap on what exactly transpired. Karan was arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing a woman on May 5 in suburban Oshiwara. The woman complained to police that Oberoi, who was in a relationship with her since 2016, allegedly raped her on the pretext of marrying her. He also shot some objectionable videos of the woman and demanded money from her while threatening to release the clips, the official said.
Based on the woman’s complaint, Oberoi was arrested on and booked under Indian Penal Code Sections 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion), Oshiwara police station’s senior inspector Shailesh Pasalwad said. Last, when we had spoken to his sister Vani, she had revealed to us that it was a difficult moment for her, to see him in prison and doesn’t want their parents to fly down to Mumbai from Chandigarh. Then, many of his friends including Pooja Bedi, Sonali Singh, Samir Soni stood up in his support. Meanwhile, Karan was last seen in the web series, Inside Edge with Vivek Oberoi.
