Karan Tacker Aka Special Ops' Farooq Ali: ‘Never Expected A Director Like Neeraj Pandey Would Work With Me’- EXCLUSIVE
TV Actor Karan Tacker engaged in an exclusive conversation with SpotboyE.com where he spoke about the popular web show, Special Ops and his character in it. The actor was all praises for the director of the series, Neeraj Pandey as well
One of the most popular espionage thriller series on Hotstar, Special Ops starring Kay Kay Menon, Sana Khaan and Karan Tacker in lead roles has become quite a rage amongst the viewers. We recently got the opportunity to interview Karan Tacker who essays the role of Farooq Ali, a RAW Agent.
The actor spoke about how throughout the entire shooting schedule of the film, he had to be quiet and discreet about his character, just like a RAW agent. Said Karan, “I had to be discreet about my character. Barring 5 people in my life, nobody else knew about my role in the show.”
Specials Ops is directed by Neeraj Pandey who’s known for his spectacular films like A Wednesday, Special 26, Baby, Dhoni biopic, to name a few.
For Karan, it was a dream come true to work with Pandey. He was all praises for the filmmaker as he said, “I hadn't expected that a director like Neeraj Pandey would work with an actor like me. Because the kind of work that I have done falls in the pseudo commercial space and Neeraj Sir is known more for making real cinema. Aur har actor ki yeh tamanna hoti hai ki aise hi director ke saath kaam karein kyuki kahin na kahin the people, the industry starts taking you seriously. Aap sirf shauk ke liye iss industry mein nahi ghuse hai, aap kaam karne ke liye ghuse hai. So, I was very happy that I got to work with Neeraj.”
Karan is hopeful that post this show, there’s no looking back for him. Well, in the interview, he also discussed his favourite scenes and finally, on a parting note, wished and hoped that life returns to normalcy soon. Watch the full interview above.
