Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: After Shooting From Home For Days, Erica Fernandes AKA Prerna Is Back On Sets; Makers Desperate To Get Parth Samthaan Back ASAP EXCLUSIVE
Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 has had a Coronavirus scare but now that the team is in the pink of health, they want all hands on deck ASAP. Erica Fernandes is back on sets, as we speak!
Erica Fernandes who plays Prerna in Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 was shooting from her home since her co-star Parth Samthaan (Anurag) tested positive for Covid-19 on July 12. After him testing positive for the virus, shoots were brought to a halt and other cast and crew members underwent swab test. Fortunately all of them tested negative and after a gap of 3 days shoot resumed and all the other actors except Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes and Aamna Shariff reported to the set. Parth was under self-isolation, whereas Aamna decided to be home as one of her personal staff members had tested positive. And all through, Erica continued shooting from her home for safety reasons. But SpotboyE.com has it that the female main lead is back on on the sets (Klick Nixon) shooting her scenes for the coming episode. Also Parth who is currently in Pune will be back on the set soon.
Giving the reason for shooting from home, Erica had told Mumbai Mirror, "I tested negative, but the testing was done at an early stage. So, I wanted to wait for a few more days, get another test done after 10 days and then get back to the set. But since we were already on air, we had to continue work and this is the best way forward.”
She had also revealed while shooting from home is like multitasking with one slipping into multiple roles of a director, cameraman, sound recordist, hair and makeup artist and more, it is definitely not easy, "But I have an online channel for which I used to do everything on my own and that experience is coming in handy since it taught me intricacies of handling a camera, fixing the lights, monitoring the sound and getting dressed up on my own. My only challenge has been not having my co-star in front and having to imagine how the other person will react."
Parth Samthaan who tested negative in his second test travelled to Pune on Sunday to spend sometime with his Mom. His travel from one city to another got him lot of backlash as few Twitter users who claimed to be his neighbours alleged him og breaking BMC rules. Replying to the accusastions Parth tweeted, "Dear @Suhaasi,yes I have tested negative and I was home quarantined for 17 days which technically is more than 14 .. and last night I had a panic attack so were you willing to take me to the doc?? And now m on my to Pune to spend some much needed time with my family."
And now a reliable source informs us that makers have already asked Parth to pack his bags again and comeback here to start shooting for the show. We also hear makers are unhappy as the ratings of the show have dipped and want all their main leads back in action on the set.
