Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 has been facing a lot of heat because of a slip-up caused by the channel. Two days back in one of the question the four options given also had Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's as one of the options. The channel mistakenly wrote his name only as Shivaji and forgot to add the title attached to his name. This irked a lot of netizens which led to them trending Boycott Sony TV on social media for almost the entire day. The channel instantly rendered an apology by running a ticker on their next episode and also tweeted their regret.
Post this, now Amitabh Bachchan has Tweeted about this human error. Big B in his late-night tweet apologised for this slip-up and said that they didn't mean to hurt anyone's sentiments. His tweet read, "No disrespect meant at all .. apologies if it has hurt sentiments ". He quote tweeted Sidharth Basu's tweet who is the show's creator.

Siddhartha Basu had, in fact, pointed out that on many occasion Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's name has been one of the options and with the proper titles that are needed. In his tweet, he wrote, "No insult or disrespect whatsoever was intended to the memory of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a question on KBC 11. This season there have been a number of questions that have all used his name with the full title. Apologies for the inadvertent omission of title in the choice"

Last evening, fans had already accepted the channels apology and hence had started trending Thank You Sony TV on the social media. The apology coming I'm Amitabh Bachchan only proves how gracious he is and there is no harm in admitting of there has been an honest mistake.
This surely is going to make KBC one of the too watched programs this season for sure!
