Coronavirus pandemic has brought almost everything to a halt. The entertainment industry is also hard-hit as the shooting of new episodes has come to a halt. A lot of old shows are being re-telecast on television for this reason. However, Kaun Banega Crorepati is all set to return, and the selection process for participants for KBC season 12, will commence in a few days. What’s even more amazing, is that the process is now digital, making it easier for everyone to apply from the confines of their home. Amitabh Bachchan, the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati, shot for a promo for the selection process from his residence.

In the promo, Amitabh Bachchan announces that registrations for Kaun Banega Crorepati will commence from 9 May, 9 pm. Big B invites all arpirants to register for the selection process, as he walks through his residence. He says, “Har cheez ko break lag sakta hai, sapno ko nahi (everything can take a break, but not dreams).” Sony LIV shared the promo on their social media account and wrote, “ #KaunBanegaCrorepati is back! Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari directed the promo and speaking with IANS, he said, “Each year, when we start deliberating about KBC, we go through various insights that may trigger an impactful narrative. This time, however, the very environment that we are in, sets the context of the film.”


Nitesh Tiwari further stated that he first shot a scratch film with himself, and shared it with Amitabh Bachchan for him to get an idea about his vision for the promo. “After which, Mr. Bachchan shot the entire film at his own home, all by himself. I hope this campaign strikes a chord with the audience and they participate wholeheartedly," he added.
