Megastar Amitabh Bachchan returned as a host for Kaun Banega Crorepati’s thirteenth season, which premiered yesterday, August 23. As we all expected, the first episode turned out to be highly successful with Big B starting the show with a heartfelt poetry. He later introduced all the contestants from all across India and started the fastest finger first test. And, the first person to make it to the hot seat this season was Gyaan Raj, a teacher from Jharkhand.
Notably, Gyaan got intimidated by the megastar and wanted to touch his actor's hands or feet as a mark of respect but the makers did not allow him. In a recent interview with Times Now, Gyaan Raj talked about his experience on the show and meeting Amitabh Bachchan for the first time. He revealed that the production crew had asked him not to touch the actor's hands or feet as a precaution against Covid-19.
"Unke haath pair chhoone ka permission nahin tha (I wasn't allowed to touch his hands or feet). He asked my name, and said 'aapka naam thoda alag type ka hai (your name is different)' and he found it really interesting. Then he also asked about the backstory of my name. Then we talked a lot about different things,” Gyaan Raj was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, Gyan Raj, who is a science teacher from a remote village known as Nagri in Jharkhand’s district, took home Rs 3,20,000 as prize money. Kaun Banega Crorepati will air every Monday to Friday at 9:00 pm.
