Amitabh Bachchan, in the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, remembered the late Surekha Sikri and appreciated the remarkable performance given by her in the film Badhaai Ho.

Late actor Surekha Sikri’s demise shocked the entire nation. The talented actress had etched her characters in our hearts and the gem of an actor left for heavenly abode a few weeks ago. The actress wasn’t just limited to the small screen, and she had even spread her magic on the big screen.

In the recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, host Amitabh Bachchan remembered the late Surekha Sikri and appreciated the remarkable performance given by her in the film Badhaai Ho. In the episode, contestant Akshayjyot Ratnoo was invited to join Big B to play KBC after he topped the scoreboard after the triple test. He was the fastest to answer all three questions, in mere 7.16 seconds.

The contestant introduced himself, but mentioned that did not bring any companions along with him. When asked the reason, he shared that his parents could not come due to their personal reasons. He also revealed that he has been trying for UPSC, and mentioned that all the friends and other relations eventually parted ways from him.

Amitabh Bachchan introduced the expert of the day, Richa Anirudh and initiated the game with Akshayjyot Ratnoo.

While the UPSC aspirant aced his way to the ninth question, one of the questions was related to veteran actress Sikri. The question read – who has won the national award for best supporting actress for her role in Mammo, Tamas, and Badhaai ho. The correct answer was Surekha Sikri and Akshayjot got it right.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan then talked about the late actor's career and called her performance in Badhaai Ho “phenomenal.” Akshayjyot took home Rs 6,40,000 as he was not willing to take the risk with the question which would have earned him Rs 12,50,000.

Later, the triple test rolled out again and Akash Waghmare made it to the hot seat. The game began and Akash Waghmare aced till question number 5. Amitabh Bachchan then spoke with Akash Waghmare about his life and struggle as a delivery man and revealed that he aspired to join the police force. The game for Akash will now continue in the next episode.
