Amitabh Bachchan is back with the 14th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati on SonyTV. This quiz show is one of the longest-running shows and has gained immense popularity. This time the show is back with a new twist and a new prize money slot for the audience and for the contestants.

Recently Sony TV shared a promo of the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati season 14 on Twitter. The post said, “Iss saal KBC mein hoga kuch naya, jackpot hoga 7.5 Crores ka aur judega 75 lakh ka ek naya padaav. #KBC2022 coming soon! Stay tuned!”.  Yes you read right, the prize money has been hiked to 7.5 Crores from 7 Crores and a new slot has been added, that is of 75 lakhs.

In the video, Amitabh Bachchan is congratulating the mock contestant Santosh for winning Rs. 1 Crores and asked him if he would like to go ahead and take up the question of Rs 7.5 crores. The mock contestant gives a second thought to go forward with playing or not and in dreams that people are telling him not to take up the last question as he has already won a whopping amount of Rs 1 Crores. They are even telling him, that if he answers the last question wrong, he’ll lose this big amount and would only be left with Rs. 3.75 lakh.

Sr. Bachchan then assures the contestant that if he gives the correct answer then he’ll win Rs 7.5 Crores, but if the answer gets wrong he’ll win Rs 75 lakhs That is the new slot added in the game.  The host turns to the audience and announces, “Yes it is true. Marking the 75th year of Indian independence, KBC now has a new slot.”

The Don actor has been the host of the show since the first season aired in the year 2000. Only in 2008, for the third season, Shah Rukh Khan was the host. 




On the work front, the legendary actor was last seen in Runway 34 with Ajay Devgan and Rakul Preet Singh. And his upcoming film is Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One along with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna slated to release on September 9, 2022. Another movie Project K directed and written by Nag Ashwin along with Deepika Padukone and Prabhas is in pipeline.
