Kishwer Merchant On Making A Comeback With TV Show 'Fanaa-Ishq Mein Marjawaan' After Maternity Break; 'I Wanted To Spend Time With My Son, Now I Feel Ready'

Kishwer Merchant is back after a maternity break. The actress will be seen in a new role in Reem Shaikh starrer TV show ‘Fanaa – Ishq Mein Marjawaan’. Back in August, Kishwer and her husband Suyash Rai had welcomed a baby boy. Since then the actress was missing from the television industry. Now she's back! The actress will be seen playing a negative character in the show. She will be seen as Agastya's stepmother Meera Raichand. It is her first project after her maternity break and she will be portraying a negative shade.

Talking to Pinkvilla about her character in the show, Kishwer said, “I had taken a cautious break from work to spend time with my son. But now, I feel ready to face the screen once again and I am extremely excited to be a part of ‘Fanaa – Ishq Mein Marjawaan’. I will be playing the role of Meera Raichand as Agastya’s stepmother."
She added, “When the role was offered to me, I was immediately intrigued by its grey shade. It has always been great working with COLORS and am happy to team up with them once again, I hope the viewers love this new development in the show."
The show Fanaa- Ishq Mein Marjawaan stars Reem Shaikh as Paakhi, Zain Imam as Agastya and Akshit Sukhija as Ishaan in the show. The character Meera will appear as stepmother to Agastya. She has played an influential role in molding his childhood. Currently in the show, there is also Manoj Chandila, who plays the role of ACP Ranjeet Singh. He intends to take revenge on Agastya. The show is certainly high on entertainment and given that Kishwer is now entering the show, it will get even more interesting.
