Jaya Bhattacharya went bald amid Coronavirus lockdown and shared videos of her head being shaved. She explained that her hair was coming in the way of helping others, and her newly shaved head makes her work more freely now
Jaya Bhattacharya, famously known for playing Payal in the superhit television drama Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, decided to get rid of her long hair. The television actress has been a part of various shows such as Karam Apnaa Apnaa, Virasaat, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Thapki Pyar Ki, among others. She was also a part of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan- Shah Rukh Khan starrer Devdas. Now, she went bald amid Coronavirus lockdown and shared videos of her head being shaved. She explained that her hair was coming in the way of helping others, and her newly shaved head makes her work more freely now.
Jaya Bhattacharya took to her Instagram and shared videos of the process, as she got her hair completely shaved. She captioned the post, “#surprise wanted to do this since ages but never had enough motivation This helps me work more freely & better .” One of the videos shows her drying her long hair and she can be seen saying that she washed her hair every time she comes home after feeding dogs or distributing ration. However, she adds that it’s now getting very difficult to maintain her hair and this is why she took the decision of shaving them.
In another video, she mentions that she kept sweating because of the long tresses. “I need to go out to provide food for my driver and so many other people, cannot confine myself to ACs. I will be damned if I need to stop doing all this just to maintain my beauty. It is just hair, wigs exist. Hail wigs! Will use wigs while shooting, have often done that anyways.”
