ALT Balaji's new show Lock Upp hosted by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is making headlines ever since it got aired. The show with its never-seen format and controversial contestants is being loved by the viewers. With each passing day, the reality show is getting gripping and high on drama and masala. Recently the show witnessed its first elimination with Godman Swami Chakrapani.
Swami Chakrapani who claims himself as the President of Hindu Mahasabha said that he has accepted the decision without any remorse. Post his eviction in a conversation with indianexpress.com, the self-styled Godman said that he did not understand the show’s format. He said when he entered the show for the first time he thought he would not fit there with so many people staying together under the same roof.
Swami Chakrapani was quoted saying “I am a man who lives in solitude. I have never been put under the same roof along with so many people. Also, given I have no understanding of these shows, I may have failed to make a mark. Honestly, it was a surprise to me when I saw people talking to the cameras or fighting to be seen. I would often wonder if anyone is even watching us."
When he was questioned whether he became a part of the wrong show, Swami denied it saying that both Ekta and Kangana Ranaut has done a wonderful job by creating the show. He shared, “I have never done anything like that and thus it did not work out. I have no regret as I did what I felt was right for me and the show. As for my eviction, I was touched by Siddharth Sharma’s honesty and innocence and thus decided to give my position to him.”
After swami’s eviction, Poonam Pandey, comedian Munawar Faruqui, actor Nisha Rawal, Sara Khan, Kaaranvir Bohra, Payal Rohatgi, Shivam Sharma, Siddharth Sharma, political analyst Tehseen Poonawala are among the rest of the contestants in the show.
