Sasural Simar Ka actor Manish Raisinghan and Sangeita Chauhaan all set for their wedding, that is about to take place in a gurudwara in Mumbai, shortly. The couple met and fell in love on the sets of Swabhimaan two years ago. The couple will be taking their nuptial vows in a gurudwara, with only their siblings in attendance. Speaking of which, the groom is all set and ready for the marriage as he was spotted today wearing purple-pink sherwani with a matching face mask as well. The actor was also spotted with a spray sanitiser.
SpotboyE caught up with him at his house and the groom seemed evidently excited about his lockdown marriage, to which he told, “I think everyone else is excited and I’m the only one who is nervous kyuki shaadi ho rahi hai (as I’m getting married) This was totally unexpected, this is a shock for everybody, I think we rather enjoy it than think about it. Agar sochunga toh me bhag jaunga,” he jokingly added.
With only the bride and groom's siblings in attendance as opposed to a full blown guest list, this marriage is not your usual grand affair. Here is what the groom has to say about it, “There’s a different way because sab ke sab, jitney log nahi bhi kar paate the real wedding, wo sabne virtually sare functions attend kiya hai, from sangeet, mehendi to everything, shaddi mein sablog maujood rahenge aur waise bhi bohot greedy hai, toh ye shaadi ka maza toh hum le hi rahe hai aur hum real life shaadi bhi vapas karenge jab lockdown khul jaayega.”
Earlier, talking exclusively to SpotboyE.com, he revealed how this marriage decision was impromptu. "It may surprise you but the decision of getting married to each other was taken in a day's time. During this whole lockdown, I was extremely busy with my song and one day at the breakfast table, I told my father I am planning to take a day off today and in a quirky way he said, 'off le raha hai to shaadi bhi karle.' It was a joke but it hit my mind. I instantly called Sangieta and said let's get married, tell your parents to speak to my parents and she was shocked and said, 'Achanak se kaise baat karu? Things don't happen like this' but I convinced her and said let's make them meet on Zoom call today at 4 and she somehow agreed. They met via the video call and discussed things and by evening the wedding date was also zeroed down."
