The singer composer who had to step down as a judge from Indian Idol in October 2018, after his name surfaced in the #MeToo movement has not been spotted on TV since then. But looks like that outrage was for nothing. Now a report in Bombay Times, suggests that he will be seen on the music reality show 'Superstar Singer'. A source told BT, "He will make an appearance along with lyricist Sameer in an episode dedicated to the songs composed and written by them.” Incidentally, composer Sameer had supported Malik when Shweta Pandit had levied allegations against him.

Anu also made headlines, when a publication reported that Yash Raj Films have banned Anu Malik’s entry in their studio, which may cause hindrance in his return as the show’s judge as SONY TV’s singing reality show is shot at YRF studios. However, SpotboyE.com had found out from its well-placed sources at YRF that the news was untrue and they don’t have any such diktat. In case, Anu returns as a judge, he can enter the premises and very well shoot for the show.
