Bigg Boss season 17 winner and comedian Munawar Faruqui enjoys a huge fan base on social media. On Tuesday, he visited Mohammad Ali Road for an Iftar party. Videos of him visiting the Noorani sweet shop near Minara Masjid are currently going viral on social media. While his fans gathered around to catch a glimpse of him, soon, chaos erupted as eggs were thrown at him and the sweet shop. As reported by the Free Press Journal, the proprietor of the shop has lodged a complaint with the Pydhonie police.

In their complaint to the Pydhonie police, they alleged that a rival shop owner and a few individuals who caused the chaos were upset that the Bigg Boss 17 winner had visited his show. This led to eggs being pelted at Faruqui. The police officials have filed a case against the hotelier, who was accused of throwing eggs, and served them a notice. In the video that is now doing its rounds on social media, it is seen that Munawar is greeting his fans. However, things take a turn for the worse when suddenly eggs are thrown at the sweet shop and him. This causes chaos as people attempt to cause more disturbance. The owner of the sweet shop, Akhtar Noorani, alleged that the rival shop owner and his staff threw eggs at Munawar and verbally abused him as they were upset he didn’t visit their establishment. According to the report by the Free Press Journal, the Pydhonie police have filed charges against 7 individuals under multiple sections including rioting, threats, and unlawful assembly. They were also issued notices under Section 41 A of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).

Talking about Munawar Faruqui’s win, the comedian took home the trophy of Bigg Boss season 17, a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh, and a brand-new Hyundai Creta. Apart from his bonding with Mannara Chopra, his journey on the show included facing turmoil when his ex-girlfriend Ayesha Khan entered the reality show. She made a lot of allegations against him, accusing him of emotional manipulation and cheating. They even brought up Nazila Sitaishi, his ex who he was dating before Ayesha. The accusations made by the two women had left the viewers in shock. For the unversed, Bigg Boss 17 is Munawar Faruqui’s second reality show win. He had won Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp season 1.
