Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui took the nation by storm after he won the controversial reality show, hosted by Salman Khan. He beat Abhishek Kumar, who became a fan favourite for keeping his heart on his sleeves during the entire season. Well, it was during the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2024, when a photo of him and YouTuber Elvish Yadav had gone viral. The viral photos caused a lot of mixed reactions from the netizens. Now, the comedian has reacted to news of the YouTuber being arrested in the snake venom row.

During an interaction with The Times Of India, when asked about Elvish Yadav’s arrest, Munawar revealed that he was clueless about what happened. Spotted outside his shooting location, the Bigg Boss season 17 winner stated that he wasn’t aware about the incident as his phone was switched off. He stated, “Mujhe kuch idea nahi hai iss baare mein. The 32-year-old comedian went on to add, “Mere phone ki battery puri dead ho chuki hai. I don’t know kaise hua ye sab.” As per multiple media reports, he is currently busy filming for a special performance for an upcoming Holi event. ALSO READ: SHOCKING! Talking about Elvish Yadav, weeks after he dismissed allegations about his involvement in providing snake venom at his rave party, he admitted that he had indeed done that. According to a report by NDTV, the YouTuber will face charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act along with a case under the Wildlife Act. Section 29 of the stringent law deals with drug-related conspiracies like buying and selling. It is to be noted, that bail isn’t easily granted under this law. 

Elvish has also been accused of using snakes in his video shoots. As per the officials, he had earlier confessed that Bollywood singer Fazilapuria arranged those snakes for him. His admittance came after he was placed in 14-day judicial custody.
