The 4th season of Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural show Naagin 4 premiered on Dec 14. The star cast includes Nia Sharma, Jasmin Bhasin, Shaleen Bhanot, Sayantani Ghosh and Vijayendra Kumeria in pivotal parts.

As it’s been some days that the show went on air, we decided to do a quick chat with Vijayendra Kumaria.

Your show Naagin 4 premiered on Dec 14. How has been the response so far?
My family, friends and fans are extremely happy. In fact, a lot of people from the industry have sent in their good wishes. After the telecast of the episodes, I have received good feedback about the show as well as my character.
 
Working for a HIT franchise has its pros but also has its cons as it raises expectations and increases pressure. What’s your viewpoint?
Yes of course. Everybody has great expectations from this season as well. As an actor, there is a lot of responsibility on our shoulders. But I am sure, we will receive the same amount of love from the audience.
 


Do you think the show will help further boost your career, considering the fact that Ekta Kapoor is known to create the best buzz?
Yes, Ekta is the best in the business and I am very happy that I am finally working with Balaji Telefilms. I am sure that this will add to my career graph.
 
Can you describe your look on Naagin 4?
I have two looks, majorly one is the office look which is in smart suits and the other one is casual that is in T-shirts and jeans, which is very comfortable.
 
How much time does it take you to get ready?
About half an hour
 


What sort of prep did you do for this role?
I wanted to look young and fit in this show as the character is very energetic, so I took care of my fitness and diet. I am also trying to keep my dialogue delivery a little fast and full of energy. So, I am working on these things.
 
Which are your favorite Naagin films and why?
I like Nagina simply because of Sridevi.
 


Who is your favorite co-actor and why?
I am lucky to have good co actors in all my shows. It’s difficult to pick one. My chemistry with Nia Sharma and Jasmin Bhasin is also coming out well.
 
You have worked with Sanjay Gandhi in Udaan. How does it feel to have him as your on-screen father?
It’s great to work with people you know. I was happy to see him and the relationship of our characters in this show is totally different so it’s fun doing scenes with him.
