Naagin 5 Actor Mohit Malhotra Wants To Try His Hand In Comedy
Soon after the Television industry went back to work post the nationwide lockdown, Mohit Malhotra shocked everyone with the portrayal of a naag in the supernatural thriller Naagin 5. Now that his stint in the show has ended, the actor is looking forward to doing some comic roles and says it has been on his mind for a while.

He also mentioned that he is looking forward to doing some interesting roles on the OTT platforms too. "I am looking for all kinds of interesting roles. Comedy is something that has been on my mind for a while and I would love to be part of something like that. Even on OTT I am looking forward to great stories or content," he said. The actor was seen for just a couple of episodes in the Ekta Kapoor show. He played the role of Naag Hriday and revealed that the small stint worked fine for him, as he was not looking for a long commitment.  "Naagin is India’s most popular show and it was a great opportunity to be a part of it. It worked very well for me because I didn’t want to commit a long time to a show, so it was absolutely apt for me. The experience was absolutely astounding, I loved each and every day I shot for it. Honestly, I had a lot of fun doing this genre so it was an incredible experience," he said. Mohit has been part of shows like Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke, Sasural Genda Phool, Bade Acche Lagte Hain, and Kya Huaa Tera Vaada, to name a few. When asked if he feels the content on the show is regressive, he said, "I wouldn’t say that any content is regressive. I feel whatever is being made for television, there’s an audience for that and it’s picked up or inspired from the real stories, so it’s only mirroring what’s happening in different parts of our country."

The Hacked actor recently ventured into production too with his company Roots Entertainment. He revealed that even direction is also on his wishlist.  "Roots Entertainment is at the moment focused on music and we launched a music label called Roots Music, so production is taking a lot of my time. I don’t know if direction is on my mind yet, but I love the art of film making and it’s on my list so it will come as and when it has to," he signed off.
