Naagin 5: Amika Shail Is Thrilled To Work In Hina Khan Starrer And Collaborate With Ekta Kapoor
Actress Amika Shail being roped in for Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural thriller Naagin 5 has left her thrilled to collaborate with TV czarina
Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural thriller Naagin 5 began to telecast on a leading GEC from August 9, 2020. While the audience were delighted to watch Hina Khan, Mohit Malhotra and Dheeraj Dhoopar in some pivotal roles, soon joining this shape-shifting serpent thriller show is actress Amika Shail. Previously seen in TV shows such as Uddan, Divyadrishti and Baalveer Returns, she is thrilled to be on the show and to work with TV czarina Ekta Kapoor. Amika will be portraying the role for the male lead’s sibling on the small screen.
In conversation with Mirror online, she said, “I am really excited to be a part of the show and to work with Ekta Kapoor for the first time. Without any expectations, I gave the audition and to my surprise, I got selected for the role.” She also shared watching the previous seasons of Naagin and was keen to work in it since then. The actress will start shooting for her part in the next 2-3 weeks stated the said publications report.
Amika began her journey in showbiz by participating in a singing reality show when she was nine, she never thought she would be an actress, as singing was her only aim. “I belong to Kolkata and used to frequently travel to Mumbai for singing shows. I shifted here only after graduation but honestly, I never thought of becoming an actress as singing was my only aim. However, participating in reality shows helped me a lot as it gave me the confidence of performing on stage and in front of the audience,” added Amika.
Amika will also be seen in Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani's Laxmmi Bomb she thanked the industry for accepting her. “I am grateful to the industry for accepting me and appreciating my talent. Being an outsider, I’d never thought I’ll get to work with for big shows or films, especially when I’m very new to acting. However, it feels great to be a part of this industry,” she added. “I don’t care if I’m working for a film, a daily soap or even a TV commercial. For me, no work is big or small and I believe it’s better to engage yourself in work rather than sitting idle at home. I just want to be recognised by my work and look forward to showcase my talent,” added the actress.
