Naagin4: Nia Sharma Defends Herself For Video Featuring Her Cycling Without Mask, 'Is There A Rule About Taking A Pic Only After Wearing A Mask?'
Nia Sharma who posted a video of her cycling was questioned for not wearing mask, the actress comes back with a reply for it
Naagin 4 actress Nia Sharma who is a cycling enthusiast is often seen hitting the roads on her bicycle, exploring the city on two wheels. Two days ago she posted a video of her cycling in the vicinity of her residence on her Instagram account. Now the video got her a lot of backlash in the comment section, the actress was asked why she isn’t wearing a mask which is one of the most essential needs of the hour with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Finally the actress has come back with a reply to these comments, in conversation with Times of India. Talking about this, the Naagin 4 actress mentioned that why she can't remove her mask just for a couple of minutes when she clicks a selfie or shoots a video, as being in the profession of acting; she is compelled to do it on a regular basis. Also during these times she is surrounded by 40 odd number of people on the sets, whereas in her cycling video there was no one around.
Nia was quoted saying, “I don’t understand why people on social media have to point out that I wasn’t wearing a mask in the video. Do I have to always click a picture or post a video with a mask on? I did not know that there was a rule about taking a picture only after wearing a mask. If I can shoot with 40 people around me, and not wear a mask when I am in character and in front of the camera, then I can also remove the mask for a few seconds when I am cycling late evening for some fresh air. If you see the video, there was no one around me. I don’t have to always click a picture in a mask. I’m aware about safety precautions.”
Revealing her passion for cycling, she shares cycling to work and doesn’t forget to wear a mask, because more than rule, it is for safety. “I love cycling and enjoy going for a ride at any given time during the day. Whenever I step out, my mask is always with me and I wear it all the time. Not because it is a rule, but for my own safety,” she added.
