Nach Baliye 9: Anil Kapoor And Govinda Announce Deewana Mastana 2, John Abraham Part Of It Too
22 years after the release of the original, Anil Kapoor and Govinda have announced the sequel of their film Deewana Mastana. During the finale of Nach Baliye 9, the veterans will make the announcement
After 3 months of rigorous dance training, vote appeals, laughter and tears, we are just a few days away from the finale episode of Nach Baliye 9! The show that promised maximum drama, glitz and glamour, and of course, current couples and ex’s, grabbed everyone's attention through this journey. And its finale will be exciting too as Anil Kapoor and Govinda will announce the sequel of Deewana Mastana. Anil Kapoor will make the announcement and even reveal that John Abraham is a part of it.
Whilst, top five jodis – Prince-Yuvika, Anita-Rohit, Shantanu-Nityami, Aly-Natasa and Vishal-Madhurima battling for the coveted trophy of Nach Baliye 9, we will also witness Bollywood stars like Anil Kapoor and Govinda gracing finale episode. The two actors worked together on the hit film, Deewana Mastana (1997), and it is now after 22 years that they will announce its sequel on the sets of Nach Baliye 9. Judge Raveena Tandon too, who was also seen in a cameo role in the first instalment, will be a part of the sequel along with John Abraham.
On meeting Anil Kapoor after a long time, Govinda said, “Anil Kapoor is one of the most genuine people I have met and worked with in my life. He is my senior and I always looked upto him but I was very scared to talk to him. But Anil was always so cordial that he never made me feel any different from him.”
Anil and Govinda together decided that they will remake Deewana Mastana 2. “Since Govinda and I have met after a long time, I would like to announce Deewana Mastana 2. This time we can have John Abraham too,” said Anil (laughs). Raveena reminded Anil that she was also a part of the first movie though it was a cameo role. Does this mean Raveena’s husband Anil Thadani will produce the film?
