Nach Baliye 9, Episode 1 Review: Premiere Of Salman Khan's Dance Reality Show Manages To Live Up To The Hype
Last night, TV buffs and Khan's fans were clued to the idiot box, as Nach Baliye 9 premiered. We bring to you the review of the first episode
And yesterday (July 19), finally the much-awaited dance
reality show, Nach Baliye 9 hit your small screens. It was a night of
excitement for many TV buffs, as they got comfortable in their couches, to
witness what new and special dose of fun is Salman Khan bringing with Season 9
of the show.
As we all know, Khan's production house came up with the twisted concept of
getting ex-lovers together along with current jodis, and it seems their
experiment will be a successful one. Also, the grand set, visual effects, and
the spectacular performances by guest actors didn't allow a dull moment to
seep-in.
The first episode was full of exciting rounds, as suspense and mysteries formed
a big part of it and kept us hooked. Producer Salman Khan and host Maniesh
Paul's engaging banter around their exes and they teasing each other, was fun
to watch. But the most exciting thing was to hear secret love stories of jodis
like Urvashi Dholakia-Anuj Sachdeva and Shraddha Arya-Alam Makkar, which was
under wraps till now. Even Salman, who rarely speaks about his personal life,
shared that he is friends with all his exes.
To up the entertainment quotient of the episode, many famous actors were
brought in to introduce the participants of the show. Like, Kartik-Naira aka
Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan introduced the first couple and it was none
other then Shraddha Arya and Alam Makkar.
Another highlight of the episode, which BTW we busted months back for our
readers, was that Urvashi, finally revealed her 4-year-long hidden relationship
with former lover, Anuj Sachdeva. She also spoke about the three conditions she
placed to do the show and said Anuj agreed to all of them.
Shraddha Arya, on the other hand, spoke about her 6-month-old relationship with
Aalam Makkar and hurdles they face due to long distance relationship as he is
based in Jalandhar.
Along with these two jodis other pairs like Vindu Dara Singh-Diana Umarova,
Prince Narula-Yuvika Chaudhary, Babita Phogat- Vivek Suhag were also
introduced in the episode.
It was a good mix of emotions as along with fun and entertainment, there were a
few touching moments too which made us emotional. Prince Narula broke down
while talking about his deceased cousin, who drowned in Canada, a few days
back.
However, as they say, nothing is perfect, and so was the case with the premiere
episode of Nach Baliye 9. We kept waiting to see a glimpse of the jodis to
perform and surprise us with their hot chemistry on stage but sadly, there were
no performances of the contestants in the whole episode. That was the only
hitch, I felt the episode had.
The premiere continues tonight, with remaining jodis to be introduced. All in all, the dance-based reality show managed to live up to the hype it has been creating since so many months. Now, we hope that it continues to do so as it unfolds.
