The popular controversial reality show Bigg Boss OTT is making headlines everyday for multiple reasons. As many already know, Bigg Boss OTT will be hosted by ace filmmaker Karan Johar and it will see its release on August 8. The makers of the show recently shared a promo and revealed its first contestant who was singer- songwriter, Neha Bhasin.
Some of her most popular songs include Swag Se Swagat, Dhunki Lage and Jag Ghoomiyaan. Other than that, she has also sung in Tamil and Telugu languages. She is the recipient of two prestigious awards Filmfare and Stardust. Besides singing, she made her acting debut starring in the film Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi, a Kay Sera Sera production. She starred alongside Kay Kay Menon and Ranvir Shorey in the movie which was released in 2012.
Neha has also been a part of controversies. Last year, she filed a complaint after she was trolled, bullied, abused and given rape threats along with her family and friends. For the uninitiated, after defending rapper-composer Badshah on Twitter, she had faced a barrage of abuse and rape threats. Reacting to the same, she had told IANS, "I didn't even know Badhshah personally. But he was being trolled and called an average musician, because he said something about buying google ad words and what he said was completely alright."
She continued, "I had just given my opinion that every artist needs to be respected, and added that I am not a big fan of that particular Kpop band. Since then, for nearly two months I was abused and criminally threatened."
Neha, 38, is happily married to music composer Sameer Uddin. The couple tied the knot in Tuscan, Italy. The couple married in the presence of their close friends and family.
She is super active on social media as her social media posts often give a glimpse into her personal life. Time and again, she often gets trolled for posting her pictures. She once posted a photo of her in which she is wearing a white bikini. While some fans heaped praises on her, a section of followers trolled her brutally. Reacting to the trolls, she shared more pictures in a bikini and wrote, "This pisses u off? Great. I'll keep posting till you get used to a woman in a two piece."
It will be interesting to see such an interesting figure on Bigg Boss OTT.
