New Mommy Shikha Singh Reveals She Got Replaced In Kumkum Bhagya And Did Not Quit: ‘Haven’t Been Officially Informed’

Kumkum Bhagya actress Shikha Singh along with her pilot husband Karan Shah are currently having sleepless nights as they are parenting their baby girl, Alayna Singh Shah, who they welcomed recently. After announcing her pregnancy in April, their bundle of joy arrived last month. Shikha Singh is better known as vicious Aaliya in Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia led Kumkum Bhagya. But for all the fans of Shikha aka Aaliya, here’s a sad piece of news.
As per the latest online reports, Shikha Singh has been replaced by the makers and now it’s Reyhna Pandit, who will portray Aaliya’s character. Yes, you heard that right! A Times Of India report states that Reyhna Pandit has been finalised to replace Shikha and will be the new Aaliya in Kumkum Bhagya. Speaking about the same, Shikha told TOI, “I haven’t been officially informed yet, about being replaced. I didn’t quit the show and was hoping to get back to work in January 2021, but I think it is unfair to expect the production house to wait for me till then. Also, I can’t resume work during the COVID-19 crisis, with a newborn at home.”
While Reyhna, who bagged the new role says she’s grateful for getting work in such times. She said, “I am excited to get back to work in these times when people have no clarity where their careers are headed. I am again playing a negative role, but that doesn’t bother me; it comes to mind only when people ask me about it.
