Newly Married Puja Banerjee Is Pregnant; Actress Plans To Have A Traditional Wedding Ceremony After Baby Arrives

Puja Banerjee who rose to fame with Devon Ke Dev Mahadev where she essayed the role of Goddess Parvati is beaming with joy and glowing as the lady is all set to embrace parenthood with her husband and actor Kunal Verma. That's right! The actress is expecting her first child and said that she is in her happy space now. Puja got her marriage registered with Kunal earlier this year and she was planning to even have a proper ritual wedding, however, the Coronavirus pandemic played the spoilsport and they had to cancel all the ceremonies. This piece of information was shared by Puja on her Instagram account on April 15 where she also introduced her husband to the world.
Nevertheless, talking about welcoming her first child with hubby Kunal, Puja was quoted saying to TOI, “Yes, Kunal and I are excited about entering this new, beautiful phase in our lives. I am in a happy space now and have been enjoying my personal time. In fact, I have not stepped out of my apartment since April.”
The couple plans to have a traditional wedding after the baby arrives. Puja says, “We had a lot of dreams for our wedding and had planned everything to the T. However, the pandemic changed everything and even my mother, who lives in Kolkata, could not attend our registered wedding. I am hoping to have a regular ceremony and do my pheras with Kunal after the baby arrives. Hopefully, my mother will also be able to attend it.”
Puja who was playing the titular role in Jag Janani Vaishno Devi even spoke about her exit from the show where she said that she would have continued the show even during pregnancy but due to pandemic, Puja felt that staying home and taking proper precautions is important right now. Banerjee is also planning to resume work by next year, hoping the pandemic will be over by then.
