Paras Chhabra's Suitor From Mujhse Shaadi Karoge Sanjjanaa Galrani Arrested For Link With Drug Peddlers
Sanjjanaa who has acted in several films was produced to the local court yesterday which remanded her in police custody for five days. She was detained in the ongoing crackdown on drug abuse.
Sanjjanaa Galrani who is a popular name in the South film industry and recently also participated in Colors' Mujhse Shaadi Karoge as a suitor for Paras Chhabra's swayamvar was arrested on Tuesday by Central Crime Branch of city police in Bangalore. The arrest was done alleging she has links with drug peddlers. She is the second actress to get detained in the matter. Before Sanjjana, actress Ragini Dwvedi was taken into custody on Friday.

The same publication further reported that, Sanjjanaa’s name was doing rounds from the time CCB began probing the racket. A 10-member team descended on her flat in Indira nagar around 6am on Tuesday. Equipped with a search warrant, the team, including four women officers, searched the house for more than five hours before whisking away Sanjjanaa to the CCB headquarters in Chamrajpet. The actress was questioned for nearly two hours and then she was taken to KC General Hospital for a medical check-up by police. During arrest joint commissioner of police (crime) Sandeep Patil quoted, "We are arresting Sanjjanaa for her alleged links with the drug peddlers who have already been arrested".
The actress is accused to be regularly seen with the other accused at rave parties in the city. She is also suspected to be associated with the arrested event manager, Rahul Thonshe. “We have digital evidence in the form of pictures, videos and messages,” a senior police officer said.
Talking about the arrest of eight others named in the FIR, including the son of late politician Jeevaraj Alva, an officer said, “We will not spare anyone. Getting anticipatory bail in such cases is not an easy job. Even if they get one, we will get it cancelled with the help of evidences we have against them.”
