Pearl V Puri Granted Bail In The Rape Case Involving A Minor, Confirms Actor's Lawyer- EXCLUSIVE
After two failed attempts of securing a bail, Pearl V Puri has finally been granted one today by the Sessions court. He was held in judicial custody after being accused of allegedly raping a minor
Television actor Pearl V Puri, who was arrested by Waliv Police Station on June 4, 2021, has been finally granted bail. The famous actor was arrested under the POCSO act after an FIR was filed against him for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl. Confirming the same, the actor's lawyer Jitesh Agarvwal told us, "Yes, he has been granted bail by the Vasai Sessions Court."
On June 5 he was presented to the Vasai Court and his bail plea was rejected, after which he was sent into judicial custody. Pearl V Puri was again brought to the court for the hearing on June 11 (Saturday), however, his bail was declined once again and today he was presented to the sessions court for the third time where he has finally managed to get the bail. Pearl, who has played the main lead in TV shows like Naagin 3 and Bepanah Pyaar got embroiled in the controversy after a 5-year-old victim's father filed a police complaint against him. As per the victim's father, the first FIR was done by him in 2019 as his daughter recognised Pearl with his character name Ragbir from his show Bepanah Pyaar. After Pearl's arrest in the matter this month a lot of his industry friends came out in his support on social media. Celebrities like Ekta Kapoor, Nia Sharma, Aly Goni, Surbhi Jyoti, Karishma Tanna, Divya Khosla Kumar among others came forward and demanded justice for Pearl .
Divya Khosla Kumar shared a series of posts and went on making some shocking revelations about the whole case mentioning Pearl is being falsely accused and punished because of a marital conflict between the alleged victim's estranged parents. Also, an audiotape of Ekta Kapoor's conversation with the victim's mother went viral on the Internet where she could be heard urging the mother to come out and speak on the matter as the mother herself claimed Pearl is innocent and that her estranged husband was trying to trap him.
