Preksha Mehta’s Father On Her Suicide: She Was Restless Due To The Lockdown, ‘We Had No Idea She Will Take Such A Drastic Step’
It was just recently when Crime Patrol actress Preksha Mehta committed suicide at her home in Indore. The Crime Patrol actress who has also worked in the Akshay Kumar film Pad Man hanged herself by a ceiling fan at her home in Bajrang Nagar, Indore at the age of 25. After Preksha’s death, her father reveals that they had no idea that she would ever take such a drastic step. Mehta’s father also shared that she was restless due to the lockdown and did not like sitting idle at home.

Speaking with ABP News in an interview, Preksha Mehta’s father revealed that the actress used to remain restless as all shoots had halted due to the lockdown. Her father said, “Preksha used to remain restless as all shoots had halted due to lockdown. She was upset over the further extension of the lockdown in Mumbai. She never liked sitting idle.”  Preksha’s father also shared how the family was unaware that she would take such a drastic step. He added. “Whenever she used to read about the lockdown in the newspaper, I used to tell her that she shouldn’t be worried as it’s for everyone. We had no idea she will take such a drastic step.”

Talking about whether they forced Preksha for marriage, the father of the Crime Patrol actress said, “Preksha had already told us that she will get married in 2-3 years only after earning a name in the film and TV industry. We never pressurized her for marriage but sometimes we used to ask her to get married in a light-hearted manner.” Moving on, talking about her suicide note, Preksha’s father mentioned that after reading the note, even the family couldn’t understand why she wrote all that.
