Controversy queen Rakhi Sawant has confirmed her marriage with boyfriend Adil Khan Durrani after their photos from the court wedding surfaced online. As per reports, Sawant secretly tied the knot with Adil on 2nd July 2022 in a low-key ceremony. The couple got married just after three months of dating each other. Rakhi shared their pictures of signing the marriage certificate and a video of exchanging garlands on social media.
In an interview with Etimes, the Ex-Bigg Boss contestant revealed she and Adil first had nikkah followed by a court marriage last year. Rakhi also revealed they kept their marriage secret because Adil's sister and his family were against their marriage. She said Adil believed that his sister won't get a good suitor if people got to know that he was married to her. Rakhi said, “According to him, tum Rakhi Sawant ke saath judoge toh tumne badnaami lee hai.” She even mentioned that Durrani’s family has not accepted her yet. On being asked if there is any trouble in their marriage, Rakhi simply said she wants to save her marriage right now. “At this point, all I want is to save my marriage. I want the world to know that I am married to Adil. Main bahut pareshan hoon isliye logon ke saamne meri shaadi aana zaroori hai,” she further said.
Reportedly, Sawant changed her name to Fatima after her wedding. As per the photos of the marriage certificate doing rounds, Rakhi is now Rakhi Sawant Fatima. For the unversed, the actress was earlier married to Ritesh and had introduced him on Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 15. Soon after the show, they called it quits and announced their separation on social media.
