Actress Reem Shaikh recreates Dhak-Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit’s sensuous iconic Koli dance Humko Aaj Kal Hai on Zee TV’s show Tujhse Hai Raabta

The actor has been winning accolades with her performance as Kalyani in Zee TV’s Tujhse Hai Raabta. Reem has been pulling out all stops to get her on-screen avatar right. Recently, she had to re-create superstar and dhak-dhak girl Madhuri Dixit’s iconic song, Humko Aaj Kal Hai on the show and we couldn’t take our eyes off her from the few glimpses that we had a chance to see. In fact, we hear that Reem rehearsed the song within a span of just half an hour and perfected it!
Commenting on this, Reem said, “We had a very hectic schedule, so I had to rehearse the song within a span of 30 minutes, and it was quite challenging. I watched the video of the original song several times to gauge Madhuriji’s expressions and ensured I focused on getting those right while I was shooting for the song. I was also wearing a similar outfit where my mid-riff would be visible so I ditched liquids for the entire day and resorted to only having fruits so that my stomach would look flat and toned. I hope it turns out to be great and audiences enjoy my performance.”
The actress recently shared her look on her social platform with a special message for Madhuri Dixit – “My tribute to the legendary @madhuridixitnene I know I cannot match up to her persona and talent but it’s every girl’s dream to dance to her songs, and here’s one of my dreams coming true.” Well, we can’t wait to see this avatar of our beloved Kalyani!
