India woke up to yet another shocking news on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, several reports stated that TV actor Nitesh Pandey, who was last seen in Star Plus’ popular show Anupamaa in the role of Dheeraj, died at 51. Pandey suffered cardiac arrest in Igatpuri, Maharashtra.
Producer JD Majethia, who has worked extensively with Nitesh confirmed the sad news with Indian Express and shared that Nitesh Panday was travelling for work when he passed away. He also told Indian Express, “Nitesh was in Igatpuri and suffered a cardiac arrest. He passed away around 2 am.”
An ANI report also suggests that Pandey was found dead at his hotel and the police are investigating his death.
“TV actor Nitesh Pandey found dead at a hotel in Igatpuri, Nashik in Maharashtra. Prima facie, the cause of death seems to be a heart attack. A police team was present at the hotel and an investigation is underway. A postmortem report is awaited. Questioning of hotel staff and people close to him is being done,” the news agency reported.

He appeared in shows such as Tejas, Manzilein Apani Apani, Saaya, Astitva Ek Prem Kahani, Justajoo and Durgesh Nandini. Pandey also had a production house and his most prominent films remain Badhaai Do, Om Shanti Om and Khosla Ka Ghosla, among others.
Anupamaa and Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara remain his last TV appearances.
Born and raised in Almora, Uttarakhand, Nitesh Pandey got married to Arpita Pandey, an actress whom he had first met on the television show Justajoo. In 2003, the couple tied the knot.
Nitesh was also previously married to actress Ashwini Kalsekar.
