Star Plus is all set to bring the second season of one of their most popular shows, Saath Nibhana Saathiya. The show starred Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Mohammad Nazim, Rucha Hasbanis, Vishal singh and Rupal Patel in pivotal roles.
The new season which is scheduled to go on-air from October 19 will star two new faces- Sneha Jain and Harsh Nagar as main leads along with few previous starcast. But do you know the upcoming season is a remake of the ongoing Marathi show 'Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kaay Asta' which airs on regional channel Star Pravah? Few promos of Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 are already out and we could find major resemblance in promos of both the show and their storyline. As per the first promo, the latest season revolves around vulnerable girl Gehna (Sneha) who is a househelp and being ill treated by the family where she stays. Whereas in the next promo we see her getting married to one of the sons Anant (Harsh) of the same family but continues to work the same way and doesn't get the acceptance by the family. This concept is very much similar to the promos of the Marathi show starring Girija Prabu and Mandar Jadhav in leads. Watch both the promos below;
Well, it is not for the first time when a regional show has been made for the Hindi audience. The ongoing show Aupamaa is also a remake of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Sreemoyee. It has not only managed to win the audience's heart but is also ruling the TRP chart. It will be interesting to see if this show also manages to get the same love.
