Sanjivani 2 made a lot of noise during its arrival. The reboot marks the sequel to the hit doctor show, Sanjivani, plus, this serial was one of the anticipated shows as Mohnish Bahl and Gurdip Kohli were reprising their roles for the second part. To create more buzz around the show, the makers had introduced #SanjivaniWhistle that completely got us hooked. From Dr Siddhant Mathur, Dr Anjali to Dr Ishani and Dr Asha, every doctor onscreen have played a fantastic job, however, the latest news suggests that one member from the Sanjivani family will be bidding adieu the show. Yes.
According to the Bombay Times report, Chandni Bhagwanani, who was last seen in Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, will soon replace Rashmi Singh in Sanjivani reboot. Chandni will be slipping into Rashmi’s shoes by playing the new Dr Asha Kanwar. Confirming the news and talking about the character she told the tabloid that she is a bit nervous as she will be facing the camera almost after a year. She said, “It is difficult to replace someone, because people have already accepted him/her in that role. Though I love challenges, I am a bit nervous as I will be facing camera almost after a year and that, too, with a character, someone else has already established. However, I will not treat it as a replacement, and will approach it as a new character and will play it my own way.”
Bhagwani also admits that replacing someone is disheartening as she has been replaced a lot of times. Chandni recalled when she was disheartened when she was replaced in Zee Tv’s Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani and then in Dream Girl and Hansika Motwani in Star Plus’ Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. She calls it a part and parcel of this profession. Well, now we have to see if she justifies her character when we have already seen Rashmi Singh in it.
Sanjivani 2 also stars Namit Khanna, Surbhi Chandna, Sayantani Ghosh, Rohit Roy and Jason Tham in the lead roles.
