Sanjivani 2: Surbhi Chandna Bids An Emotional Adieu To The 'Most Difficult And Complicated Character' Dr Ishani
Just a few days ago, the makers of Sanjivani 2 wrapped the shooting for the last few episodes of the show. Today, Dr Ishani aka Surbhi Chandna is bidding a farewell to the show as well to her character by penning down an emotional letter on her Instagram account while also telling us to wait for some newness ahead
Unable to rake in TRPs, the makers have finally decided to pull the plug from Sanjivani 2. The cast and crew even shared a few pictures from their wrap up party where we saw Surbhi Chandna, Namit Khanna, Rohit Roy, Gaurav Chopra along with the director of the show Siddharth Malhotra. Today, Dr Ishani aka Surbhi Chandna is bidding a farewell to the show as well to her character by penning down an emotional letter on her Instagram account. Though the show did not create as much buzz as it was expected to make, on the other hand, the actress clearly grabbed eyeballs for her role in the medical drama.
While sharing a long note about the show, she also shared a bunch of look test photos, and wrote, "And today we air the last episode of what i call - a Fulfilling experience of my life #sanjivani .. @siddharthpmalhotra @sapnamalhotra01 I cannot thankyou both enough for having the faith in me and throwing this sweet challenge ... A risky subject in todays TV TIMES ..letting me play her my way and immense respect to @starplus my home channel like i love calling it."
Surbhi then talked about her character Dr Ishani and called it 'the most complicated and difficult character to decode' yet she was extremely strong. Her post read, "Dr. Ishani has to be the most complicated the most difficult girl/character to decode and it has been a task cracking her and to still make her loveable - vulnerable - inspiring yet extremely strong was only possible because of my writers directors & the creatives."
As she donned stylish looks like a doctor, in the show she thanked her make-up artists for doing the same. "The stylish doctor that i have looked in all phases of this season can only be credited to the stylists and the Hair Makeup Team. To add to the that and give the whole hospital drama feel was the fab team of cameramen.. in pictures you see different look tests, me going super short with my hair, these are the memories I will want to look back at - all the time." Chandna also mentioned how she had a great time with all her co-stars - Juniors and Seniors and how they helped her to better her acting craft. The note further read, "To all my co-actors the Seniors and Juniors for all the fun-great times but most importantly helping me learn from you to helping me better my craft in the process.. this was possible because of the crazily hardworking team including the ones i haven’t mentioned but make the workplace home away from home and never stop smiling ever. Then is the Fan Family and Viewers of #sanjivani that make it a ride in itself.. We are the ones playing and living the characters and are extremely proud so nobody can feel them the way we do but respect always for the way you feel for them. #jobdonewell to us." Bidding an emotional farewell, Surbhi also gave a hint to look forward to some newness and asked us to wait for it. So don't worry Surbhi fans, there's something new coming up as she wrote, "For now its a bye bye from #Dr.ISHANI To some newness ahead .. Wait for it."
