Sasural Genda Phool 2: Not Ragini Khanna, But Shagun Sharma To Star Opposite Jay Soni? Here's What We Know
Ragini Khanna will not be part of Sasural Genda Phool 2
Ragini Khanna will not be a part of the second season of the very popular show, Sasural Genda Phool. Apparently, the deal between Ragini and the makers fell through on monetary differences. The latest report says that the production house is in advanced talks with Shagun Sharma and in all likelihood, she will be signed for the part. An Etimes report said, “Yes, Shagun is one of the final contenders for the role along with a few other actresses. But we feel that she fits the bill perfectly and are hoping to lock the deal with her soon. The show has to go on floors soon and we are working overtime to put everything into place.”
However, Shagun says she has no update from the makers and deal is not yet sealed. Keeping her fingers crossed that she bags the role in the popular show, she said, “I have been in talks with them, but nothing is finalised yet. I haven’t heard from them. There is no official confirmation so far. I am just hoping that I bag the show.” Shagun is known for shows - Ishk Par Zor Nahi, Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan, Gangaa, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Tu Aashiqui.
Meanwhile, as the makers are keen to sign the original cast for the second season, it is reported Supriya Pilgaonkar and Sooraj Thapar have already given a green signal. Other people have also been roped in. Jay Soni will definitely be a part of the second season, the report said.
