Shaheer Sheikh Ties The Knot With Ruchikaa Kapoor; Actor CONFIRMS: ‘I Have Found A Partner With Whom I Get To Be Myself’

Shaheer Sheikh, one of the most eligible bachelors of the television industry, is now officially married to Ruchikaa Kapoor. The actor confirmed with Bombay Times that they had a court marriage owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, and will also have a second traditional wedding take place in June 2021. A few days ago, Shaheer had posted a picture on Instagram where he was seen holding Ruchikaa’s hand. The ring on her finger was unmissable, and reports of their engagement had surfaced.
Now, in an interview with Bombay Times, Shaheer Sheikh revealed that he and Ruchikaa headed to Shaheer’s hometown in Jammu after their court marriage. There, they had a small ceremony at his house, after which there was another informal ceremony at Ruchikaa’s house in Mumbai. Shaheer Sheikh said that as an actor, he has to constantly pretend in front of the camera, but he has finally found a partner with whom he gets to be himself.
“Ruchikaa is honest when it comes to her feelings. The best part about our relationship is that we are friends first. Being an actor, I have to pretend in front of the camera all the time, but I have found a partner with whom I get to be myself. I’ve always said that I’m a ‘wanderer’ and I’ve finally found the right companion. I am looking forward to my never-ending travels with her,” said Shaheer.
Ruchikaa said that Shaheer’s simplicity and humility were what attracted her to him. While they come from different backgrounds, they choose to celebrate them. “We may make little sense to the world, but we make a lot of sense to each other, said Ruchikaa.
Ruchikaa Kapoor is the head of Ekta Kapoor’s film division. She and Shaheer Sheikh met on the sets of Kangana Ranaut starrer Judgementall Hai Kya about two years ago, and they have been dating each other for almost one-and-a-half years.
