During this lockdown period, we are seeing several popular TV shows from the 80s and 90s bein re-telecast on channels for the viewers. Mythological shows like Ramayana and Mahabharat have already caught the audience's attention, and now, a few more shows are lined up to hit the small screen once again. 

As per reports in IANS, Sony Sab, a GEC known for its Sitcoms, has decided to re-run the popular TV show Office Office starring ace actor Pankaj Kapur. Is there already a smile on your face and sparkle in your eyes? The decision was taken keeping in mind the positive response received after the re-runs of Ramayan and Mahabharat on the TV screens. Actor Shahid Kapoor’s father Pankaj Kapur played a pivotal role of retired schoolmaster named Mussaddi Lal Tripathi.

It is a Sitcom from this retired schoolmaster perspective and narrating his struggles in order to get his work done in an office which has employees believing in corruption to the core.


As soon as the news of this show being re-telecast surfaced on the Internet, actor Deven Bhojani who also played a noteworthy role in the show, said, “It's a great feeling that Office Office is coming back. We made the show in 2001-2002, and after almost two decades it will go on air again. The show is still relatable the way it was then. “In the period of lockdown, when the whole world is going through tension, pain and sadness, the re-run of 'Office Office' will divert their minds and bring smiles to their faces.
