In a recent episode of Shark Tank India season 3, entrepreneurs Pranjhal Sinha, Akshetha Maithri Ashik, and Vikram Kumar presented their Online Dispute Resolution platform to the judges. The platform offers solutions for resolving legal matters online, outside of traditional court settings. The entrepreneurs sought Rs 1 crore from the sharks in exchange for a 1 percent equity stake in their company. Following the pitch, Aman Gupta and Namita Thakur presented a joint offer to the founders, leveraging their experience with large multinational corporations over the past 14 quarters. "We will bring our expertise to the table," Aman stated confidently. Additionally, Amit Jain also extended an offer to the entrepreneurs.
However, Anupam Mittal took a swipe at Aman, remarking, "This is a network effect business. Are we selling audio equipment here?" Aman seemed visibly annoyed by this comment and encouraged the pitchers to choose the shark who remained composed and dealt with the situation calmly.
Subsequently, Ritesh also aligned with Aman and Namita's offer, ultimately settling for Rs 1 crore for a 1.5 percent equity stake. Aman expressed his excitement, quipping, "Some claim to be the king of tech. Oh well, it must have stung for them." Namita commended the entrepreneurs for making "the right choice."
Shark Tank India made its comeback with the third season premiering on January 22, 2024. Returning for this exciting season are some well-known sharks from previous seasons, including Namita Thapar, Executive Director at Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited, Aman Gupta, Co-founder of Boat, Peyush Bansal, Co-Founder and CEO of Lenskart, Anupam Mittal, Founder and Director of Shaadi.com, and Vineeta Singh, CEO of Sugar Cosmetics.
