Shehnaaz Gill’s father Santokh SHOT AT By Two Armed Men, Days After He Joined BJP; Escapes Unhurt-Report
Santhok Singh Sukh’s security personnel went out for a loo break when the two men arrived on a motorcycle.
In a shocking turn of events, Shehnaaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh Sukh was reportedly shot at by two unidentified armed persons late Saturday (December 25) evening. The recent unfortunate event comes after Santokh Singh Sukh recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Punjab assembly elections scheduled to be held in 2022.
According to a News18 report, Santhok Singh was shot at in Amritsar when two men on a bike fired at him when he was on his way back home from events in the city.
Santhok Singh Sukh’s security personnel went out for a loo break when the two men arrived on a motorcycle. The two bike-borne men then came near Shehnaaz Gill’s father and as soon as he rolled down the windows, he was allegedly shot at, reported AmarUjala.
The report said his security threw bricks at the men to stop them but they managed to flee.
Notably, Santhok Singh escaped unhurt.
Meanwhile, another report quoted the Jandiala Guru police who said that the matter seemed suspicious and an investigation is on. The police confirmed that they recovered four empty shells from the site.
However, the police was informed timely about the incident, the FIR is yet not registered.
Santokh Singh’s daughter, actor Shehnaz Gill has been away from social media ever since she rumoured boyfriend Sidharth Shukla died of a heart attack in September this year. Shehnaz was last seen in Punjabi film Honsla Rakh, opposite Diljit Dosanjh.
