Not very long ago, the news of Bigg Boss 13 finalist Shehnaaz Gill's father Santokh Singh getting accused of raping a woman on gunpoint inside his car had taken the internet by a storm. The accused had lodged an FIR against Shehnaaz's father and she had also alleged him of blackmailing her if she didn't cooperate. Santokh Singh, however, refuted all such accusations and said that it's an attempt to tarnish his image. The controversy went on for a couple of weeks and now if Santokh's latest Instagram posts are anything to go by, it appears that he has been freed of all the charges pressed against him.
The actor and singer's father shared a selfie of him showing the victory sign his car and thanked fans for all the support. Santokh also said how despite the day, the truth has finally prevailed. "Thoda time Laga lekin sichai Ki Jeet Hui thank you guys," read Santokh's caption. He then shared a picture of him with his wife and thanked everyone who trusted him and believed that he is innocent. "Jinko mere upar Vishwas tha Ke Main Nirdosh Hoon Unka thank you," he wrote alongside the picture. All his well-wishers and fans were quick to congratulate the man in the comments section.
In an interview with us, Shehnaaz's brother Shehnaz had debunked all the claims by saying, "Yes, there has been a case registered with the Punjab Police but these are completely false allegations. The lady in question is trying to defame my father. We are surely disturbed at the moment but we also know nothing is going to happen as we have enough proof that the lady is lying. The mentioned place where the incident according to her happened is under CCTV surveillance and we have arranged for recording of it."
