Shilpa Shinde Admits S*xual Har*ssment Allegations Against Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain Producer Were False

Actor Shilpa Shinde has made a startling revelation about her long-standing dispute with the makers of the popular TV show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!. During a recent podcast conversation, the actress became emotional while reflecting on the controversy that led to her exit from the show and admitted that the sexual harassment allegations she had levelled against producer Sanjay Kohli were false.

Shilpa, who rose to fame as Angoori Bhabhi, recalled the difficult period that followed her departure from the sitcom at the peak of its popularity. Speaking about the circumstances that led to the fallout, she said she was under immense pressure and felt cornered by the situation. The actress revealed that she had been asked to sign a contract that would have restricted her from taking up work elsewhere. When she refused, tensions reportedly escalated, eventually resulting in her exit from the show.

The actress further shared that she was allegedly warned that she would be left without work in the industry. According to Shilpa, the dispute soon snowballed into legal battles and financial demands, which took a severe toll on her mental health. She admitted that the pressure became so overwhelming that she struggled emotionally and even experienced depressive thoughts during that phase of her life.

Looking back, Shilpa said the entire episode pushed her into making decisions she now regrets, including filing the harassment complaint. She also criticised industry bodies and associations for their handling of the matter, describing the experience as deeply distressing. Over the years, however, the dispute was eventually resolved, and the actress has since reconciled with the makers. Shilpa revealed that relations between both sides are now cordial, and she has even worked with them again after more than a decade, bringing closure to one of television’s most talked-about controversies.
