Ratan Raajputh is a well-known name in the television industry. She is popularly known for playing Laali in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. She is not just a fabulous actor but also a vlogger, who makes videos for her youtube channel. In her videos, she gives a glimpse of her life in Mumbai. In a recent video, she shared her experience with the casting couch and made a shocking revelation. Ratan Raajputh in her recent vlog she said that had come to Mumbai in 2007-2008 to fulfill her dream of becoming an actor.
She went to a film production house where a 65-year-old man told her that she needs a makeover, which would cost around two lakhs. He is ready to invest in her unless she makes him her ‘godfather or friend’. He said, “Tumko ko to bohot change karna padega, apne baal dekho, apni skin dekho, kapde kaise pehene ho pura makeover karna padega, do dhai lakh ka kharcha hoga, Mein tumne inta kharch krunga par tumhe mujhe godfather bana banega, friend bnana padega”
Raajputh was shocked listening to this and told him that she can't be his friend as he is of her father’s age. The actress said, “Aap mere father ke age ke ho mein aapde friendship kaise kru. Aap mere guide ho, main aapki respect karti hun. Jo aap guide karoge mein waise krugi.”
Listening to this he got angry and said, “Guide kuch nai hota, friendship karni padti hai, aur actress banne aai ho to ye drama bandh kro. Thoda smart bano” He even said, “agar meri beti bhi actress banti na to mein uske saath bhi sota.”
In the vlog, she even mentioned that this incident startled her and left her traumatized for a month as she shut herself off. She did not attend any meetings and this kept her away from entering Bollywood. She even mentioned that whenever she reminisces about this event it makes her upset and angry. She fails to understand how could someone talk about her daughter like this.
On the work front, the 35-year-old actress made her television debut in 2006 with Raavan. She rose to fame with Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo in 2009 and earned numerous accolades. She participated in Bigg Boss 7 in 2013 and got evicted on day 28. Raajputh also portalyed Amba in Mahabharat and Santoshi in Santoshi Maa.
