Shraddha Arya On Resuming Work Post Her Leg Injury: ‘It’s An Individual’s Choice To Work For Somebody Or Be Their Slaves’
TV actress Shraddha Arya, who is currently seen as Preeta in the daily soap ‘Kundali Bhagya’ has resumed work despite her major leg injury. A few days ago, she left her fans worried after she shared a picture of her bandaged leg informing people about her injury. In a new interview, Shraddha spoke about returning to the set to shoot for her scenes and revealed it was her choice to resume work.

Speaking with Hindustan Times, Arya stated “Since I am part of a daily soap, I have to go to work once in a few days to shoot my scenes. They (team of the show) are not making me exert but going from home to the set, and then moving back and forth from vanity to the shoot location, is quite a task. But I have to do it. When you do a daily soap, you can’t really stop.” She went on to add that if there comes a time when it’s absolutely out of question to be present at work, she would not think twice before prioritising her health or personal life over work. She even explained that her production house is just doing their work by asking her to come as they have to telecast the show no matter what. But it’s an individual’s choice to work for somebody or be their slaves and she choose to work for the production house with discipline.

While adding that she feels lucky to work with a team who understands her problem, Shraddha mentioned, “In my case, the good part is people I work with do understand if I have trouble shooting. Like today, it’s 4:30 and I haven’t even reached the set. Still, nobody is calling me or hassling me because they do I understand that I am going to take my own time, take medicines, and then come. I live on my own terms.”

Meanwhile, Shraddha became a household name with her stint in shows like ‘Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki’, ‘Tumhari Paakhi’ and Dream Girl. She has been playing the main female lead in Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya since 2017 and the show has recently witnessed a leap. She will also be part of Karan Johar’s highly-awaited film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, which stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
