Mere Dad Ki Dulhan actress Shweta Tiwari's life has been a roller-coaster ride. She was first married to Raja Chaudhary. The actress filed for divorce as she reportedly suffered domestic violence at the hands of Raja. Later she married Abhinav Kohli thinking of having a happily ever after. However, this relationship too hit rock bottom and they had an ugly split. Now, Shweta is enjoying her life with daughter Palak Tiwari and son Reyansh. In her latest interview, she has opened up on her life post her separation from Kohli.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress said that she did not have the time to sulk and get depressed about her personal life going through a rough patch as she has the responsibility of many on her shoulders. When asked how she managed to deal with the situation with such grace, she said, "That is also because I have so many responsibilities, so many people to look after. I can’t afford to be depressed, or sulk, or let myself go in the drains because I have my daughter, my son, have my house to look after. I am the only earning member, I am the only strongest, I think I am the man-woman of the house.”

Shweta's daughter Palak too spoke highly of her mother and stated that the actress has never done anything evil. Stating that she has seen her mother go through a hard time, Palak quoted, "Not just my mom, even the generation before that, I think they are very strong women. They don't need support including me. But, I think I do everything I do because I genuinely believe in everything she does. I am not blinded by anything. I have seen everything with my own eyes. I had time to make decisions for myself and I know that whatever she does, she does from a good place. She has never done anything evil. So it is not hard to support someone whom you have never seen doing anything wrong. It just comes naturally."
