'Shweta Tiwari’s 'God Is Taking The Size Of Her BRA Remark Was Taken Out Of Context', Clarifies Host Of The Event Salil Acharya
Actor Salil Acharya has cleared the air about Shweta Tiwari’s controversial bra comment, which has stirred up a huge uproar on social media
Popular TV actress Shweta Tiwari stirred up controversy and landed herself in big trouble for making a statement regarding her innerwear. During the press conference of her upcoming web series ‘Show Stopper’, the actress had said, “Meri bra ki size bhagwan le rahe hai.” Since then, Shweta has been receiving severe backlash from all corners. In fact, Madhya Pradesh's Home Minister Narottam Mishra has asked for a detailed report on the matter. Now, actor Salil Acharya, who reportedly hosted the event, has now opened up about the entire fiasco and cleared the air.
While speaking to Times Of India, he revealed that Shweta’s comment was 'taken out of context'. He clarified that by the word God, she referred to Sourabh Raaj Jain, who is playing bra fitter in the web series. While narrating the entire incident, Salil Acharya told the portal, “I was on stage with Shweta when this happened. I was asking a question to actor Sourabh Raaj Jain, who plays a bra fitter in the web series. I had asked him that for a person who has played mythological and godly roles in the past, how was it playing something so different.”
He added, “In a funny way, Shweta said that now we are making God do this. When she said God, she meant Sourabh because he is known for his mythological roles. Her statement has been taken out of context and I really would like to clear the air.”
He further explained that people have only cut out and edited that particular part of Shweta’s comment from the entire event and made it viral.
“Earlier there was no medium where someone could do something like this. It would take days to cut and edit footage like this. If they wanted to do something, then they could only use audio. Now with social media, everything has become instant. They can take whatever they want and use it in any way they want to," Salil asserted.
