In the history of Indian reality shows, Bigg Boss 13 is one of the most discussed and remembered by the audience. Till date the season takes social media by storm as fans reminisce about Sidharth Shukla’s iconic win and his bond with the runner-up of the show Asim Riaz. In a recent interaction, Asim has now opened up about how he faced biasedness from the makers of the show, who did not want him to win. 

During his interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Asim, who has been making a name for himself through his music videos, spoke about losing the trophy to the late actor. Quoted by BollywoodLife, the 29-year-old actor said, “Mere dauraan unhone (makers of the BB13) kya kiya because they didn’t want me to win, haanji bhai aaj hum online voting khol denge 15 min ke liye, jitana hai jitao jisko. Come on man, just say you don’t want to make me win, it’s okay. While Asim’s fans have come out to support the claims, it seems like his statement has not gone down well with Sidharth’s fans. Most of them have taken to social media to bash the actor and have asked him to move on. One wrote, “Ye aj bhi vahi pe hai isliye kuch nhi kr pa rha. Season is 0v€r bro, and #SidharthShukla is the most deserving winner in the history of #BiggBoss accept it and move ahead.”

For the unversed, Sidharth breathed his last in September 2021 after he suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence leaving the television industry, his fans and friends broken hearted. During an interview, after his win, Sidharth had opened up about an advice by Salman Khan that he will hold onto for life.  Quoted by Hindustan Times, he had said, “There are quite a few, so wouldn’t know which one to pick. But one thing that he told me which I will hold on to is that ‘teri maa, meri maa, meri maa teri maa’.”
